Wow!  I can not believe it has been a year (well 4 days shy) since Miss Peanut was born.  I have a NEW YEAR's EVE baby!!!

I have been busy creating lots of special birthday cupcake clips that were sent out with Miss Peanut's party invitations!  I can't wait for everyone to get them!!!

In honor of her birthday, I am going to give away one of the cupcake clips.

To enter, please leave a comment with your best 1st birthday party/ celebration idea!

I will use a random number selector to pick the winner.  The winner will be selected January 1st, 2010.

  1. ooo! I only have a 1-year old myself but I think you have so many fun options with a New Year's Eve baby! Since my daughter was born in August we had a pool party at the local park but my sister's daughter was born in the winter and they had a great day of indoor crafts and games and basically, adult merriment (her daughter was conked out before the cake!). My one thought is that a Smash Cake is a must!

  2. I love to have meaningful traditions so for each birthday I have my kids draw a picture. I just gave my 1 year old a paper and squirted a few colors of finger paint and let her go at it. Every year what they do changes but it is fun. I also take a photo of them in the same place each year.

  3. She's adorable. My little brothers (2 years old) almost made it. They were born dec. 28th.

  4. The clip is ADORABLE! I don't know if this is what you're looking for but since my son's 4th birthday party (he's now 10), instead of doing a pinata, we throw the candy at the kids. Not literally but up in the air in a grassy area - sort of like it's raining candy. The parents LOVE doing it and the kids have a blast. It also helps everyone get a good amount of candy.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  5. Oh I forgot - not trying to get an extra entry - I promise! I can't find how to contact you otherwise. I started doing interviews with my son since he was very young. Even if it was just him making noise. It's a video interview... As he's gotten older, I add questions like who's your best friend? What's your favorite color? What do you want to be when you grow up, etc. It's fun to look back and see how his answers have changed. Just thought I'd share. :)

  6. I have 3 children, so I'm an old pro at birthday parties. I suggest keeping them very short, especially for a very young child. There are really only three things you need: singing happy birthday and blowing out candles, a great little cake for the baby to make a mess with, and lots of wipies! I've also learned that instead of having all of the presents opened at once, let the child open the presents as people arrive. That way each gift gets the special attention that it deserves and as the child gets older, she can show appreciation and practice her manners.
